A haven of tranquillity set in the centre of in excess of 100 acres of parkland, the Waterside coarse fishing lakes provide an unrivalled experience for amateur and experienced anglers alike. Unique in their size and maturity, the two lakes which make up our fishery are well stocked with 12 species of fish, including common and mirror carp into double figures, as well as quality roach, rudd, bream and tench. Mixed catches of 50lb are common and the lake record stands at 156lb.
The lakes have well-spaced pegs, and parking is close by. You are also able to make the most of our onsite bar and restaurant for home-cooked food and drinks throughout the day and superb accommodation is also available for longer stays.
Fishing licenses are required by law. Waterside’s fishing lakes are covered by our own license so there is no need for patrons to apply for their own. Non-residents will have to bring their own license or pay £7 for an adult, £4 for children and the over 60’s. A day pass for fishing in the Waterside lakes is free for residents and members, it is £10 for non-residents.
